Terry Biviano Show

Showing off the shoes... Lighting a fashion show where the stars of the show are 4" Stilletos!

Designer Tony Assness asked Campbell to feature Terry Biviano's debut line of stilletos. With a precise lighting design, Campbell complimented Tony's fantastic and vibrant show in a spectacular fashion.

They shimmered with Glomesh tassels, dangling shells and beads that wrapped up the ankle like layered anklets.

Lighting at Magnitude Parties, Melbourne, Australia

Campbell's lighting has been seen at the largest dance parties in Australia and the most exclusive corporate parties.

Campbell has lit many of the biggest parties in Australia - with over 20000 patrons - such as in Sydney's Entertainment Quarter with hundreds of moving head lighting fixtures on moving truss and countless full colour lasers. And the more exclusive New's Limited Executive Christmas party for a few hundred patrons at a Sydney habourside restaurant.

Campbell's stylish and spectacular lighting can add energy to parties of any size. The result - a fantastic and memorable party that people will continue to talk about.

Editorial Spread in Harpers Bazaar

Theatrical lighting for a Harpers Bazaar Editorial Spread.

Campbell worked closely with the photographer, creative director, make-up artists and hair stylists to give this editorial spread a surreal "stage" feel.

Rehearsals in Telstra Stadium

Lighting Telstra Stadium.

Campbell lit the televised pre-grame entertainment for the Australian NRL Grand Final for a capacity crowd at Sydney's 80 000 seat Telstra Stadium.

Logo fashioned on jacket for Jason Coleman

Choreographer Jason Coleman needed his star, Todd McKenney, to dance with the logo of his client spectacularly and unmistakeably projected from the back of his coat.

Not only did the logo needed to be colour matched to the client's style guide - it also needed to be bright enough to be clearly visible in an arena sized space; flexible so that it could be attached to the back of the topcoat; and lightweight so the power packs wouldn't hinder the dancer.

The base of the logo was CNC cut into PMS matched vinyl. Over 300 high intensity LEDs were attached using a flexible bond to the soft vinyl base in a computer generated dither pattern. LEDs were individually cabled using extremely low gauge wire. Battery packs were concealed in the waistline of the coat and a switch provided at the cuff of one sleeve to allow the performer to control the illumination.

Kim Carpenter's Theatre of Image called for a working campfire in it's touring production of Robinson Crusoe.

...of course, they all love the fire...

- Production Manager Andy Stewart

The actors needed to be able to light the fire easily and for it to operate faultlessly for every show. Not satisfied with the realism of the commercially available silk flames, production manager Andy Stewart turned to Campbell.

The solution - a custom built rechargeable battery operated campfire with 6 mini dichroic lamps and six tiny fans puffing on custom dyed silk flames. The whole unit was controlled by a microprocessor to allow several levels of fire - from burning embers to a blazing fire - producing quite an eye catching and realistic effect.

Centrepieces at Sydney Childrens' Hospital Gold Dinner

One Thousand Lights

Each centre piece at the Sydney Childrens' Hospital Gold Dinner had practical lighting inside the individually fibreglassed petals.

Campbell tested several sets of lamps and LEDs for brightness, colour and beam spread. With this aesthetic, he settled on a series of miniature bulbs in each, arranged to look like the staemen of the flower.

Cabling was threaded through the stem to a battery pack designed to fit through the neck of the vase and provide constant brightness from the time the tables were set through to the end of the event.

Campbell has worked in the event management and logistics at large events - including...

Sydney 2000 Olympic Games - Cast Management

As the Deputy Common Domain Caller, Campbell assisted in the planning that ensured over 100 Cast Marshals managed the movements of 15000 cast members and athletes to and from the Stadium for rehearsals and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Rugby World Cup 2003 - Transport Management

Campbell managed the bus transport movements and marshalling for orchestras, choirs and thousands of school children through rehearsals and the RWC Opening Ceremony.

Jeddah Economic Forum 2005 - Technical Director

For the 2005 Jeddah Economic Forum, Campbell lead the teams which provided registration systems, lighting, multi language audio, large format pigi projectors and multiscreen broadcast vision in five locations within the Jeddah Hilton Hotel.

David Atkins Enterprises needed IT to support 1000 full time staff and contrators for the magnificent 2006 Doha Asian Games.

Campbell and his team delivered a secure IT environment that connected it all - from Animation Render farms, music studios, video production suites, lighting WYSIWYG workstations, scheduling cast via SMS messages in multiple languages to streaming video and many other vagaries of the production of stadium entertainment - all on time and within budget - anticipating and supporting the needs of an evolving organisation right up until the magnificent Opening Ceremony.

Campbell was subsequently invited to take role of Director - IT with David Atkins Enterprises for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
